Welcome to my new site. I decided to create this site for two reasons. 1, I found taking to the road after a break of nearly 30 years did not find me in any fit shape to do the miles I once did. And 2, I wanted to share the Dos & DON’Ts with both first timers and fools like me who have rediscovered the joy of the open road. You can read more of my error on the about page…
There seems to be a trend in the bike industry at the moment to equip all new bikes that come with drop handlebars with a headset that is well placed on a road bike (racing bike, for all the oldies out there), but ill conceived on a touring bike.
This review is only for a little thing but one of the best cheap purchases I have made for the bike. The Cateye drop-bar mirror is a must when on a fully loaded bike and after reading reviews of many different models with no clear winner I decided to by the cheapest from my local bike shop Les Molières Cycles.
As usual I spent some time reading reviews on truing stands before opting for the Tacx T3175 and I am not disappointed.
